There will be an emphasis on glazing and the firing process. Each student will be required to give a presentation on an artist or an issue of interest to them in the arts and its relationship to their artwork. Seniors will be required to write an artist statement and submit a photographic portfolio of their senior work in ceramics.

Prerequisites: Four terms in ceramics or permission of the instructor. Interested students should email Barry Bartlett at bbartlett@bennington.edu for permission to take the course.
