Research Methods in Psychology and Cognition (PSY2209.01)

The goal of this course is to learn the guidelines (practical, professional, and ethical) for conducting research in the psychological and cognitive sciences.  How do you answer questions about individual differences? Why do we remember what we do? Can you change someone’s behavior? Critical thinking and effective verbal and written communication are emphasized as students work through several different research projects.  Classes will cover the principles behind conducting valid and ethical research.  In small groups students will design, conduct, analyze, and present unique independent research projects.
