his course is intended for upper level VA students who work primarily in non-photographic media. No previous experience with photographic technique is required. The course will demonstrate and provide practice in techniques used in effective documentation of art pieces using digital still photography. Students will have access to camera equipment and our lighting studio, although the use of appropriate personal equipment is encouraged (consult the instructor). Basic digital processing and printing through Adobe Lightroom will be covered, but web page / blog design and usage is not part of the course. Limited to eight students, this is a 1-credit course meeting in the first seven weeks of Fall 2017. Some supply purchases may be required, and an external hard drive is a must.
