Projects in Costume Design (DRA4210.01)

This is a production class that will be centered on designing the costumes for both the Drama production directed by Kirk Jackson, and a new dance work by Dana Reitz. Students will work collaboratively on the design elements of the costumes and the realization of the costume design. Responsibilities will include conception, rendering, sourcing, shopping, fitting and working closely with the costume shop and the wardrobe crew. Activities will involve attending rehearsals, tech rehearsals and fittings.

Hours required are not solely confined to class time and will include attendance at some production meetings (Mondays 1-2) and some evening rehearsals.

Prerequisites: Class in Costume Design, Costume Construction or other design and production experience in any design, management, or performance capacity, and permission of the instructor. Please email the instructor about your interest in the course prior to May 15, 2018.
