(Re)Center: Reimagining a New Student Center (ARC4116.01)

This course presents an opportunity to participate in re-imagining the “next life” of the Student Center, as it transitions from its temporary function as a dining facility back to a home for student-centered programming. Students will work together collaboratively to generate program concepts and physical design ideas as a basis for envisioning a full interior renovation of the existing space.

Students will work in collaborative teams exploring all aspects of the design, from programming the selection of materials and furnishings.

Prerequisites: Permission of instructor. Interested students will submit a one paragraph statement of interest by May 7th. Which aspects of the problem are you most interested in engaging with?
