Advanced Voice: Singing in Character (MVO4131.02)

Kerry Ryer-Parke

Apply advanced vocal technique to your existing acting skills towards the goal of healthy singing in character. Repertoire will be drawn from musical theater or opera, investigating the specialized techniques for each. Students will be expected to show work in Music Workshop and to design their own program of repertoire and practice in consultation with faculty. Advanced voice students will have weekly access to an accompanist. Scenes and duets are encouraged when possible.
