Seancolin Hankins

Drafting is the most essential piece of communication for theatrical production, so organization and clarity are essential. This course will introduce students to digital drafting in Vectorworks, including proper document organization, efficient drafting plate layout, and production of printable materials. We will also discuss determining scale from photographs, perspective drawings, and 3D modeling. This class will enable designers, technicians, and stage managers to read and create these plans. No prior drafting experience is required, and Vectorworks is free to use for students. Laptop or computer is required.
