PLAY! (APA2100.02)

Divine Bradley

Students will research their favorite games and use its framework to create reimagined experiences inspired by the nature of the games. For example, a classic game of hide-and-seek could be upcycled into an academic treasure hunt or a clue-based quest. Can you imagine what school would be like if the campus turned into a giant version of your favorite video game or board game? Join this course to learn about the benefits of play, the history of games and earn the ability to create worlds and gamified systems inspired from the games we love.

This course is an in person experience and does not require any prior knowledge in game or experience design. Play is an experience-based course designed for students interested in kinesthetic methods and immersive learning. Let’s learn together and Play!
