The Right/Wrong/Right Dance: Breaking the Rules of Composition (DAN2147.02)

Ralph Lemon

In this lab we will look at certain (so-called) traditional aspects to a (good) dance and then attempt to break it down and reframe this tradition with a discipline that evokes creative (aleatoric) accidents and the inexplicable nature of the creative process.  A lab that examines how performance is thought about, considered and looked upon, watched, inside and out.  A fresh (and purposely messy) outlook and or proposition on how to construct/deconstruct the right/wrong/right dance.
