Barry Bartlett

This class is designed to help the intermediate and advance ceramic student build a deeper understanding of glaze applications. We will test and redesign the ceramic studio’s glaze palette. Both high fire and low fire glazes will be investigated throughout the term. The class will also be developing testing systems to track new colors and surfaces with existing glazes and also research different formulas using basic ceramic chemistry to help inform the outcome of the glazes. Some basic tools will be required, both clay working tools and brushes. Corequisites: Ceramics- Material Science taught by Joshua Primmer.
