Instrument Building (MUS2229.01)

Nicholas Brooke

A course on modern instrument building, focusing on experimental acoustic instruments. Students are required to design, critique, and eventually construct instruments collaboratively and individually. We will also work with the Schonbeck instruments at MoCA, and new prototypes for Commons. Students will be expected to work on projects early and progressively, creating proof-of-concept and staged prototypes.
