Future Work: Systems of Evaluation (APA2339.03)

David Zicarelli

A truism often attributed to business guru Peter Drucker is “what isn’t measured isn’t managed.” This class provides an introduction to the theory and practice of measuring as a means to success. We’ll investigate why objective measurement and feedback is so prevalent at both the individual and organizational level. We’ll also investigate alternatives to feedback for building individual capacity as explored in Perceptual Control Theory as well as the regenerative business work of Carol Sanford.
