Animated_Assemblage (MA2139.01)

The class will include a mixture of creating assemblages in a variety of means and materials. Objects will be cut out with scissors or the laser cutter, animated with pins or digital pins in software (After Effects), layers will be used to create depth in three dimensions, a multi-plane or using the Z axis. Movement will be animated using software or an animation track and recorded via Dragonframe. We will be looking at Martha Colburn, Terry Gilliam, Janie Geiser, John Heartfield, Hannah Höch, in particular as well as others.
