Beginning Violin/Viola (MIN2241.01)

Basic techniques will include the reading of music in either treble or alto clefs in easy keys. Basic hand positions and appropriate fingerings will be shown, and a rudimentary facility with bow will be developed in order that all students may participate in simple ensemble performance by the end of the term. Students should have a general knowledge of note reading and rhythmic values.

Sessions will be set up with the instructor individually on Fridays.

Students who wants to review the basic skill of these instruments can take this course repeatedly.
