Advanced/Senior Projects in Dance (DAN4712.01)

For students with prior experience in dance composition who wish to be involved in making new work for performance or senior work. We will also consider how this work can be shared with the public. Attention will be given to all of the elements involved in composition and production, including collaborative aspects. Students are expected to show their work throughout stages of development, complete their projects, and share them formally or informally by the end of the term.

Learning Outcomes:
Students will:
• build a robust, consistent, and rigorous artistic practice.
• investigate complicated ideas through open-ended conversation.
• explore of various methods of artistic critique and feedback.
• deepen our ability to reflect on and articulate our own artistic process

Prerequisites: Permission of instructor.
Corequisites: Dance Workshop Dance or Drama Lab Assignment if students are registered for 4 or more credits in Dance.
