Introduction to Viola (MIN2214.01)

The course is designed for students with no prior string instrument experience. Admission is on a first come first serve basisClasses will be individual.

Daily practice (10-15 min.) is expected so students can become familiar and comfortable with the instrument.

Learning Outcomes:
Students will learn:
-parts of the viola and bow
-how to hold the viola and bow
-pluck and bow open strings
-basic note reading and rhythms
-learning to play with the fingers in first position
